I picked up a late 80's trans am 305/auto today for $350. The engine has thrown and rod or something (havnt heard it running) but the car itself is in great condition. Im going to try to do a super budget build on it. Im going to source a 350 from an older model vehicle, I has a set of vortec heads ready to go so I will use those as a starting point and build around those. I plan on rebuilding the stock bottom end and just run the heads, cam, and intake. The max valve lift my springs can handle is .500. If anyone has any suggestions on intake, cam, or carb feel free to chime in. I would like to run a 650 double pumper. I will post some pics of the "gem" when I pick it up.
