I just installed my 9000XL shocks today and am wondering what ya'll have yours set at.

I know they are supposed to have 9 settings but I only feel 6 when I turn the knob. What am I missing?

I found this
Rancho setting suggestion:

Highway - Front 6, Rear 3
Sport - Front 8, Rear 6
Work/Tow/Haul - Front 6, Rear 8
Off-Road - Front 4, Rear 4

Not sure about the your other problem

This sounds like a good start. I'm pretty sure you should have all 10 positions so you should be able to turn 9 clicks either way. I and others from reading have had problems with this style adjusting knob freezing up due to salt getting behind it. On a set of similar shocks I had on my old foxbody I took the adjusting knobs off and found the o ring improperly installed so I packed a little grease in there and put it back together. Also the knobs should be numbered.

I'll look again but from reading the Rancho site I thought there should be a click per setting. So far the ride seems much better than with the yellow Bilsteins.

I got my spring clamps today so they are going on in the AM! :woott:

9 clicks including the position its at. So softest being 1 and stiffest 10 you should be able to rotate cw one more click past 9. Just checked mine while waiting in line at the car wash. If yours don't I would return them before wasting time installing.

I got a set of these shocks a few months ago. The 1-9 selector knob does leave a little to be desired. The shocks seem good, but the adjuster isn't very smooth and the detents for each position don't have a good feel.

They are already installed so I will mess with the adjuster and try to get a feel for them. I drove some last night and the ride is much better than with the yellow Bilsteins.
