Clean truck. Where did you relocate the passenger battery? I need to do mine due to rain water filling up the battery and spilling acid everywhere.

GM makes a mount that bolts to the outside of the frame rail and the bolt holes are already in place, it was installed in the military options package for uncle sam, just google "duramax frame battery mount" merchant(20970916) also has them. I have read the stock cables are sufficient if mounted in that position for the factory bracket. Another option is when replacing the batteries go an AGM battery and no need to be concerned with water filling it....

Thanks, I seen the frame kit before. I was thinking of putting mine in the bed under a cover for better weight distribution. If factory cables will work I may just relocate the passenger. Haven't gotten that far in my build yet.

Thanks for the compliments, only 62,000 miles on this one. My grandpa bought it brand new in September of 01.

I didn't relocate, i removed it and all it's mounting hardware as weight reduction. No issues this summer, i always plug the truck in in the winter so we will see how that goes. If i have to i will put it back in for the winter.

Not really. There are several guys i know running 700+ around here on stock bottom ends and they run theirs much harder than i do. If it goes, it goes is the way i see it.
