Not sure if i want to rebuild my allison 1000 or get a brand new rebuilt using heavy/duty clutch packs 3 year/unlimited(tuner friendly) warranty. im satisfied with my 100 hp tune so i called if i had a 100hp tune is warranty still covered,yes it is .it will run 2900 installed 2 day down time. if i did rebuild what would be a good kit to get? and local builders, ive herd inglewood trans in fulerton is the BEST. kind of far for me any reputable builders in santa monica area

No such thing as a brand new rebuilt.
For 2900.00 you won't get much of anything and it will not hold your tune.

Inglewood is the best that you are nearest to. Spend the extra and get something you will have zero worries about.

Most drive half way or send their Allison transmissions across the country to Mike.
If you are lucky enough to live within 500 miles of Mike L and need trans work, you really should just go to him.
I'd bet parts and converter of good quality would cost $2900.00? Then there's labor.
There should be no dilemma here. You live close enough to the best. The guy with the sheep

I drive to Cali from AZ a few times a year for trans work on my truck and friend's trucks. Worth the 6 hour drive for me.
