Finished up my engine and finally got my truck on the road last Thursday after alot of long days and nights over the past couple weeks. Didn't get done in time to test and tune in Kinston that night. Friday I went over to help Winston get his new S472 on and build a last minute weight rack and then didn't get to OBX in time for test and tune that night. Saturday morning with 300 miles on the new motor I did the first oil change in the hotel parking lot, then we headed to the Pro Diesel Challenge. I was competing in the Top Truck Challenge, which required me to get on the dyno so I got that out of the way at 1 before the racing started.

The first 2 pulls were 818 and 817 then the last pull was 821hp and 1324 ft lbs. It was over 800hp from 3100 until he let out of it at 3750 RPM. I'm pretty happy with it for only having 2 days to very roughly tune it in on the street, but I will definately be looking for a good bit more out of it on fuel only.

With the S472 Winston ended up getting 760hp on fuel.

Big Congrats to Ed Wayne for his 1029hp on spray and I think 760ish on fuel.

Congrats to Justin (ChevyDieselLLY) for his 590hp on stock turbo LLY on fuel only (lots of fuel - lol).

:spit:thats what i thought. must smoke like hell

only on the HOT tune (590hp) does it smoke and keep smoking. everything else cleans up pretty nice.

590hp on a stock turbo? Woah.

No lift pump too?

stock turbo, stock injectors, no lift pump, dual CP3's

Dustin way to go on your truck you did her right and i know there is alot left in her.

It's all in my sig: PPE dual fuelers with one stock LBZ CP3 and one modded LLY CP3 with LMM regulator, ported both fuel rails to 7/16 and all fittings and hard line connections, 100% over injectors, Crower rods, head and main studs, SoCal cut & coated pistons, SoCal damper, keyed, balanced, SoCal Stage 2 heads, SoCal cam, S475 - 75mm compressor, 83mm turbine with .90 housing, RDL T4 Pedestal, Headers, and up-pipes, LBZ Intake runners with the insides rounded and smoothed, custom Y-bridge with full 3" feed, Banks 3" boost tubes, electric fans

I'm glad to see big numbers popping up everywhere and not just from dodges. Congrats on the big number:). Not to be nosy but what happened to the big VVT idea?

Release date on it kept getting pushed back and I was tired of not having the truck running.

Understandable. Seems to me there is an awful lot of trucks popping up with similar charger/motor setups, appears there is a 900hp duramax recipe available to the public. Still amazing you can drive them to the track and back though, pulling a trailer even. Great job to those involved.
