Hello everyone. I hope you're all doing well. I'm Daniel and I'm a newly registered member here. I'm planning to acquire a 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD this year. Since I won't be able to make a deal because of the current pandemic situation, I want to gather any information I can to help me plan the maintenance and modification that I might consider for the truck. This is a major shift for me from driving a hatchback to a truck. Anyway, have a great day everyone.

Any way that you can keep the hatchback too? I’m not sure what line of work you’re getting into that requires you to purchase a diesel tow rig, but having a car that is small, nimble and fun to drive is so nice when you don’t have to drive a big truck. My truck tows 90% of the time, but often I’m fortunate to be able to haul my trailer and equipment to a job and then drive one of the cars until I have to load up and pull off the job. It’s so nice to be able to drive a car that gets 3 times the mileage and is actually fun to drive to work! It’s understandable if you’re just getting a business going and need the money from the hatchback to put towards a truck, but if there’s anyway you could keep your hatchback I would definitely try to do it!

My jetta TDI basically paid for itself in fuel saving alone. if you can keep it for non-truck related driving then it should more then may for registration and car payments unless you plan on hauling a lot and will have little chance to drive the hatchback
