Hello all Names Darin Active Duty Air Force got a 06 Chevy simple upgrades banks Monster exhaust 4'' Afe Air intake current 6in Fabtech with 17in Welds on 33's. Going back home soon to Pick up my 22x14 Xd Diesels back in Cali. Hometown is Corcoran small place. Had my duramax since 08 and love it every day. Expecting first child.

well im looking for some pretty good tunes and their numbers look good but who else would you recommend . appreciate the congrats its going to be a long pregnancy hah

I would suggest 1 of the beta tuners Bob Olson (BoBo on here) Tony of ridgerunner diesel(a vendor on here also known as Moonshine) or Kory Willis (bluesmax on here) there are others as well.These 3 are at the top of their game for sure.I run Bobs tunes and love them,people can make power but it needs to be safe for the truck also. This is only my oppinion.

Im looking for some moderate power and enjoy dumping smoke on people especially the prius people out there but also need a mileage tune. I ran a bully dog tune up until last month and was getting at the lowest 25mpg on the highway.

Just so you know smoke and lope tunes are frowned upon here.This site is about making clean horsepower.Smoke gives us a bad name,i have no love for the prissy prius people either but like i said it gives us a bad wrap.Also make sure you hand calc your milage the dic is wrong as far as milage.

fair enough not sold on lope tunes completly but i do enjoy power. like everyone else here. Im pretty new to the whole EFI Live scene. Im guessing ill need to get an Autocal or will one be provided through one of the vendors?

There are some people on here that have loaners or you can buy 1 (auto cals) or you can get a deal on a v2 with the tunes loaded,or if you have a friend with an auto cal or v2 you can use theres to load your tunes,you could also send your ecm in to be tuned and then sent back.Most of the tuners are very good about getting it back to you pretty fast.Its nice to have a v2 or auto cal to keep because if you have a problem you can monitor what the truck is doing and we can help you figure it out,also nice if you make changes you can get a tune emailed to you down load it and walk out to the truck install it and away you go.

appriciate the insight I had been lookin at getting a tunes from LongHorn and they would send an autocal with the tunes would i still be able to get another tune from someone here and load it into the autocal to put on the truck Ive been reading up on the Moonshine tune and it sounds like what im looking for but like ive said previously i also want to be able to have mileage tunes through using the dsp5 swich is there anything special i need to do for that. Since uninstalling the bully dog tuner abourt a week later my Check engine light came on and I had it checked and now my ECM isnt recognized to my vehicle its throwing the p0206 code so I will have to take the truck into a dealership to have that issue fixed

yeah shes still turning over and everything I havent been able to make it to the dealership yet. But from what they told me its kind of like a time bomb it could be devastating or do nothing, they were saying it could cause injectors to fail and things like that but nothing is guarenteed.

thanks ryan liking the two tone on your rig eventually gonna run somethin similar but with granny smith green up top with some pre runner fenders for a meaner stance up front
