Hello all, I'm glad to be part of these forums! Before I had taken my father's 2007 GFX CCSB LBZ classic for a test drive, I had looked down upon diesel engines (called them smoggers, compensators, could walk by one with an ice cream cone and wouldn't start). I was simply amazed at the performance, fuel economy, and how gorgeous the GFX package was in these trucks, and 5 months later, I was the proud owner of a 2005 GFX CCSB that came with a 6" lift, 4" Magnaflow turbo-back, Air Raid intake, and unknown to the previous owner, a AFE bladerunner mouthpiece! It used to have EFI Live in it, and I wish it still did from what I have been reading. The only modifications I have done has been 18" XD Rockstar rims on 37's, Edge Evolution CTS with pyro, welded on a 5" stainless tip, and the resonator delete. Unfortunately a month ago, it had started puking coolant out of the overflow, and we all know what that means:(. Grade C's and ARPs are on their way, and I am tackling this job myself. I hope to someday see some serious drag performance out of this truck, and I'm sure I have found the proper place to share my enthusiasm! Wish me luck, and I hope that more people can see through the bias and realize what amazing vehicles these are!

I live about a half hour west of Red Deer, towards Rocky Mountain House, which is where I had purchased this truck. I had actually bought it off of the parts manager from the Edward's dealership there in a private sale.

I know the area some, my cousin is about 7 miles north of Leslieville. Are you going to tackle the Ally yourself too? :poke:

Actually, I was thinking about it! I read an excellent write-up on installing a gmax 5 with basic tools, and I figure the grey hairs are worth the pride I can take in doing it myself.

I followed that balcony build, ATSG manual, Suncoast instructions and few phone calls to a certain couple of great contributing members on here. No grey hairs and trans has been great.

How are the head gaskets coming along?

Head gaskets are finally finished! Runs like a dream, no pushed coolant, and while I can't say tightening the valve lash to .010 helped anything yet, the 3" MBRP downpipe sure did. Running stock tuning there is a noticeable decrease in spool-up time.

It's a graphics package. Comes with decals on the side of the truck, step bars, box rails, embroidering on the seats, silver face gauges and probably some other stuff I'm forgetting.
