New laptop, problems with EFI?

I had to buy a new laptop with Windows Vista. I downloaded efi 7.4 and the win vista drivers from their site all seems well It acts like the efi is regestered and the cable is pluged in untill i actually go to copy or download a ecm then it says no comunicaton with the cable.

Any one else have any problems like this and how might i go about fixing it!

I got it figured out, drivers were installed improperly. I found these driver down load instructions Via Google, there a bit more involved than the instructions offered on the EFI live download page!

Thanks for the link, I wish it was available last year when I first got EFI, I couldn't get it to work with my laptop, so I ended up buying a new one.

No problem, i had to buy a new laptop because me and my old one quit getting along

I kept my old one, looks like now I got 2 EFI computers

Its fun untill 2 hours later when it hits you that u never backed up your last 6 or so months of tunes and that u now have to go buy a new one?
