New HD bumper build

Building this for a friend with a white 2005 LLY CCSB. Going to finish it up today and will get better pictures.

Thanks. Finished finals yesterday and worked on that til 1:30 am. I've just got to finish welding it and knock the tacks off with a flap wheel and prep for coating.

how long did it take you to do it...if you dont care can you post a few pics once shes all finished...ohh yeah one more thing did you use pieces or steel from around the shop or buy it...if you bought it what size pieces did you pick up I'm planning on doing mine from 1/4" most likely

Yeah ill post pics. I build most of them from 1/8" as do most companies. The only thing that is 1/4" is a winch box. A 4x8 sheet will do a bumper with a skid plate lots of gussets and have a bit left over.

Thanks. Yeah 1/4" is overkill and if I hit something I want it to dent my bumper not tweak my frame. Its going to get bed lined because the bottom of his truck and fender flares are in line-x.

Yeah its low profile but still burly. I've got another few to build it looks like for guys in town. Well see who actually commits.

yeah prolly will do 1/8" instead even though my bumper "bumps" alot lol...be alot cheaper too...deffinatly like how its big but yet isnt a huge go to hell bumper that sticks out a foot...after the injectors and trans work and the new turbo setup maby i'll have time...I dont know about a full bumper but I deffinatly know somebody who would buy a set of templates (llike cut outa cardboard or thick paper or whatever) for an lmm sure would speed it up...I love fabing and have all the stuff just not the time as of lately with trying to take care of a prego wife n putting together a whole room full of baby furniture
