Hello every one. I just learned of this forum a few days ago while doing a little research for my new prize toy, a used 2008 Chev 4x4 Crew cab with of course, the Duramax LMM and Allison. So here I am to just say hello, and comment that the reading I`ve done so far has been very informative to say the least. I`ve been a GM truck owner for over 30 years now and while this isn`t my first diesel, it`s my first real power house truck in many years since I quit building 427`s and 454`s for getting the job done. I look forward to experiencing what this truck can do comparing to my 99 or 05 trucks with the 6.0 gasser. It should be a real pleasant time pulling my gooseneck or 5th wheel camper now, not having to work the crap out of the truck to get where I`m going. First 1/2 tank of fuel thru it so far, it`s run 18 mpg mixed driving. No complaints on that!! I look forward to continued learning from you all here, and thanks for the information I`ve learned already.:hello:

Thanks for the welcomes guys. As to modding the truck....I`m dutch, and probably won`t spend a hard earned buck on something that might sour the warranty or the life of the truck. I`ll probably try to drive this thing till they bury me in it!!
