thanks, I'll be doing alot of reading, before I post up.

the only thing I'm not liking is that GM is getting rid of Allison. thats part of the reason why I was thinking of going to a duramax

GM did sell allison, but they kept all rights to the 1000/2000 series.

The allison trans is NOT leaving the GM pickups anytime soon.

I heard they were going to make their own allison type tranny. instead of having allison make it. or more like allison is going to have to find out where they are going to sell all the trannys for GM that will have no home. lol

thats incorrect. Just as I said 8 months ago, the allison is staying in the GM pickup trucks.
