Hey Guys, figured I should formally introduce myself since I will be here bugging people until my motor is done.

My name is Brandon, I'm from Zimmerman MN and I have a 2012 GMC currently running a 6cylinder duramax :mad:

Anyway, truck is at the shop for a motor build and after years of lurking on this forum I finally decided I would post up to start collecting knowledge as I plunge into the build. I'm on the other forum but it seemed this was the place all the cool kids with the built trucks are hanging out.

Little bit about the truck, I purchased new and started building my dream which eventually snowballed into replacing parts to keep it on the road, here I am now with a blown motor and an empty bank account. It has a 6-8" cst lift in front, 4-8" kelderman 4 link in the rear, 22" AF wheels on 37s, fusion bumpers, amp steps, truck boss sled deck, full audio system, s369 charger, mishimoto Intercooler, manifolds and up pipes, 10mm cp3, 40% injectors, fass 150 and some other stuff.

Anyway, thanks for listening and providing all of the information I have been soaking up.

Welcome, I live about little over an hour west of you. You took your truck to Jags right?

Thanks! Yes it's at jags, it's been in there a few times since I've had it now. They did my Airdog/sump when it was new, again when the high pressure line broke between the cp3 and fuel rail (also did the Intercooler at that time due to a crack in the stock cooler) and again recently for head gaskets and pulled my compound kit off for the s369. Good guys.

I've never been to Jags but I've heard really good things about their work. If I ever get enough $$$ for a built trans I'll prolly go to Jags. I'd really like a Mike or Evan built trans....but Jags is soooo much closer and I've been told they are great Alison builders too.

I made the drive to Cali and had Mike do mine, I read a lot of horror stories on tranny builds early on and got spooked. I'm sure Jags is fully capable, I know they have built LML transmissions that are holding up just fine but Mike still has tricks up his sleeve from the sounds of it.

Call and talk to Mike, have some paper ready cause you won't understand anything he's saying, after you get done processing what he told you call and talk to Josh at Jags and see what they can do for you. Either way it'll be a strong transmission.

Btw they have a Dyno at Jags now - I had a hell of a time trying to find someone to run my truck before they moved to their new shop and put in the Dyno.

Do they do their own tuning at Jags? If not who's tuning do they sell?

Hey Brandon welcome. Also good seeing you again today I'm sure your not thrilled seeing me as that means the truck is in the shop.

We have both in house tuning and we have an outside source as well.

No kidding, our run in's are starting to get quite expensive! I'll do my best to not harass you during this build lol.

This is Eric right?
