Some background on myself.
Have been in a diesel truck since 2005. First truck was an 06 F350 6.0. Sold it and bought a 24V Cummins in 2012. Sold the Cummins and went back to a 05 F250 Harley edition (current truck and also currently for sale). Before buying the 05 F250 I was in the market for a Duramax (02-07) but couldn't stomach how much these trucks were going for with higher mileage. For the price of a Dmax with 100k I got into a F250 Harley with 35k on the clock. I am not brand loyal and want to try out all platforms and make the call based on my own personal preferences.
With that said I am ready to make the switch again. Some might ask why am I staying in this year range / these generation trucks - simple answer is I live in MA and we cannot do a damn thing with newer vehicles so I stick with clean older trucks which you can actually build and not have to worry about a dead sticker.
As I am in the market I have started joining up on the duramax forums hoping to find a nice rig on one of them. Feels better when you can have a dozen guys vouch for the owner and condition of the truck. Am I missing something or does this forum not have a classifieds section for trucks - appears to be parts only? I am sure there are some members on here who have nice rigs they are looking to unload.
I look forward to hopefully becoming more a part of the Dmax community gents. I have found from my previous rides no matter what scene you are in most the guys that share a love for diesels are stand up people.
