Well since I picked up my 03 LB7 a couple of months ago, things have gotten a little crazy in the bolt on parts department, so looking at dual turbo kits this afternoon I decided it was probably best to have a built backup motor around before I grenade my current motor. I also like the idea of doing an LLY top end swap at the same time.

So anyway what would be the best option to start my new build with?

I plan on building a short block first then adding the top end later, so are all blocks the same as far as strength and everything bolting on? Are some better than others or are there even some differences that won't allow interchangeability?

Is there much of a performance benefit of an LLY top end over the LB7 or is it just for convince of changing injectors?

Thanks in advance for your help.
