I bought a new V2 to tune my duramax, but when I opened the box it says cummins. So, does that mean I can only tune a cummins or can I still tune both? Do I need to upgrade or change my software?

We sell 3 separate tuning products. FlashScan V2 Scan and Tune with GM Tuning, FlashScan V2 Scan and Tune with Cummins Tuning and FlashScan V2 with GM and Cummins tuning.
It sounds like you've been shipped the wrong unit if it has Cummins on the box. You should contact the seller. I wouldn't suggest you plug it in and try without understanding the return policy of the business you bought it from if you've already determined its Cummins and not GM.

Thank you for the information. It does not say cummins on the box. It only says it on the information card inside the box. I will have to plug it in and see what happens in a few weeks since it is torn apart right now
