Here's what McRat did:
Starting with a 100 light strand of outdoor lights that have clips on them and a small 100w inverter, I routed out the passenger door bottom making sure no bulb would touch the paint. Now it goes to the bottom of the tube running boards so passengers can still get in and out. I zip-tied them to the running boards, and headed to the rear. Our plastic wheelwell attachments are perfect for clipping lights to. Pry up the inside lip a little, and clip on the lights. The plastic insert on the rear bumper works the same way. As you go to the front of the truck, do not do the bottom front of the wheel well, instead, go across horz to the front bumper. Our front tires come very close to the front of the wheel wells, so I was worried the tires would hit them.
We drove about 10 miles at speeds up to 40mph, with no problems, and no scratched paint.
