New Duramax and cold Wx Questions

[2012 DMAX]

I live in Iowa and Winter grows near. Lows of 17 tonight and highs in the 30's tomorrow with lows in the teens again tomorrow night. Next week looks to warm up with lows in the 30's and highs in the 50's.

How do I prepare my 2012 Duramax for these temps ?

Do I need to use a fuel supplement ? Any approved by GM ?

Can I trust the fuel distributors to blend diesel properly so I don't have problems with fuel direct from the pump ?

Any advice to avoid fuel related problems is appreciated.

Use a good fuel treatment and plug in the block heater you will be fine.Power service is good stuff.

Block heater isn't really needed until your at -30F. It is nice when you do use it though because it reduces warmup time.
