Here is a picture of the new DAQ interface I have been working with. It has a PCMCIA interface to the laptop and has an amazing data rate. As fast if not faster than a disk drive. It also has 16 channels of input. The old USB based DAQ was 8 channels and bogged down because of the USB limitations. I will be using this to finally look at all 8 cylinders at once. Something I have been curious about since the get-go. I am waiting on some hardware to finish the 8 cylinder version. With luck, it will be ready mid-November.
The same software can run both the old and new DAQs with almost no changes. Which is a relief to me.
I don't think anyone will want one of these because of the cost. ($7000 and up) BUT I thought someone might be interested in me hooking it up to their engine.
Any takers?
