08' LMM My buddies truck. Just put a new rebuilt Built tranny in the truck with a new billet converter had the tranny done locally couldn't tell you any specs other than It now has a transGo shift kit in it also. The truck has an H and S minimaxx on it also. After doing the tranny relearn, the truck rips shifts perfect locks up great nice and firm like a built tranny should be. After one or two pulls it kinda goes soft you might say. The shift firmness goes away the lock up seems more lax and slower to engage. I describe it as mushy as if the tranny was still stock. Why is it that when I reset the relearn it goes like a bat out of hell and then it softens up? No codes. The owner decided to get EFI from atp and see if it helps the issue but Im not sure that will solve it although I agree he needed the EFI live regardless. Any insight would be great guys thanks.

With unaltered tables, a built Allison will feel like a stock trans. It learns back to the smooth shifts, it just holds the big power now without slipping! :thumb:

Stop doing the relearn as it diverges the shift every time you do this. Just because you have the tools to screw with this trans doesn't mean you have to use them. You need to know how this trans works before you start adjusting it.
