...even if it is slow. I found a 1/8th mile track close by where I'm working in Mobile AL so I decided to go hit the test and tune. I ran 4 times and on the last one I finally made a 60' under 2 sec. I was at full weight and only lowered the rear tires down to 45 psi as I had to drive it back to the apt. I need some better tires and take off some of the heavy stuff I lug around all the time. Weighed the truck not long ago and it weighed in at 7260 with me and 1/2 tank. Tonight I had a full tank.

I just want one 12 sec time slip and I'll be happy.

Thanks....yes on dropping some weight. I have a tool box full of tools in the bed but I need better tires too. My plan was to log some runs for Dustin but for some reason my autocal wouldn't log

I ran a modded Mustang GT first run and was sleeping at the light and lost by .3 I tried to get along side him again but it didn't work out. That was the only time I lost of the 4 runs.

Congrats on the new best!

Your truck weighs about the same as mine, and I ran a 12.8 or 12.9 (don't remember for sure) last summer at full weight with similar mods. A little better launch, and you should easily have it. The only thing that seems a little odd from your slip is the MPH seems really slow for the ET. Did you let off before the traps by any chance or go into limp mode at the end of the run? Was that about what it was trapping on all the other runs? Should have at least been in the low 80s I would think.

No didn't let up. My first run was 8.66 @ 76.8 2.3 60' second 8.45 @ 77.08 2.1 60' third 9.02 @ 76.93 2.6 60' I screwed up the launch on that one and let up at the end. Fourth 8.21 @ 77.19 1.9 60'

I wanted a shot at that GT again but didn't happen.

I don't know what it should be. My truck is heavy. I had just loaded a updated tune this morning and the shifts were not real smooth tonight.

I ran the exact same tuning you have now and ran a best of 8.04 in the 1/8th with weigh reduction. Your trap speed is way off If I remember corectly on an 8.20 run on that tune I was traping around 83 mph. Maybe the tracks equipment was off?

Looking back at your slip If you get your 60's down in the loe 1.7's you'll have a high 7 in the 1/8th which is easily a mid to high 12.

My truck ran an 8.72 @79 mph on my 13.76 run. Ed when you get back home we will get together and go to the track. If your autocal wont work, I will bring my V2 and laptop and see what we can do.

Trotorx2 is that running his ACID tune?

Yes I was running Dustins big tune, I had been throwing a P0087 with it and this was a test run to see if that was fixed...still don't know because that was a 1/8 mi track and the code throws after that.

As far as trap speed it could be the almost 7300lbs the truck weighed last night. Also the trans didn't shift smooth...they sorta flared not quick and smooth.

I do have to admit I'm not the best driver as this was only my second time at the track.

I need better tires too I think.

It sounds like the tires are spinning off the line. I didn't lower the pressure in the front tires at all and only dropped the rears to 45 as I had to drive it back to Mobile. I don't much like these BF Goodrich tires.

It could be defuling I know Dustin puts more in that the Predator had.

When spinning through first my truck always de-fuels badly on the 1-2 shift. Do you daily drive on this big tune? If the trans hasn't learned the tune well enough, you will get flaring on the shifts until it learns. Did you lower your bars in the front?

No I don't run the big tune very much but I have ran it the last couple of days trying to get the trans to adjust.

I didn't do anything but take 10 psi out of the back tires. The bars are at stock height. I went to the track to see if my P0087 code I was getting on this tune was fixed.
