Went to Eddyville last night and ran the truck. Ran a 8.16 @ 84.02 mph with a 1.785 60ft. There was a solid 25-30 mph cross wind and the denity altitude was 3338ft and 90.59% realitve density(love the da calculator on here) leaving at around 5 psi of boost at that time. Same weight reductions as last year just tail gate and spare out. After looking at my logs everytime I go over 5-6 psi of boost my tps is showing it in the brake torque management while building boost. This explains why when I tried to leave harder my 60ft went slower as did my truck. The conditions got better after awhile but my times didn't because of this. Do you guys with lbz's tune this out by changing the tables on the brake torque managment? I'm sure you can change it within the fueling of the tune to make it boost easier but not what I'm wanting to do. I have a video on my nephews phone of the run and after take off it burns clean as in no smoke so I can use more fuel after I get this fixed. Gonna try and go back in a week or so. Still happy with the way the truck runs just want to see how hard I can leave to better my 60ft's.

Looked at my log and I'm leaving with 5psi of boost at 1% under the throttle position just before the brake tq managenment kicks in on this pass. Redid the tune and took out the brake tq mang out of it but won't know how it works until it stops raining in the next few days.

It runs great with the stock turbo and your combination of mods, thats for sure. I wonder what it would do at sea level, maybe we'll make a trip to find out someday.:thumb: LBZ's are tough to beat.

It's Rob's tunning that makes it run good as my truck is nothing special. It was fun for the most part last night but would be nice if a big group of us would show up. Beach you get that thing shifting a little better that would help alot on your e.t. I think we all need to go down on one of the midnight maddness races and pick on some street cars!! Randy I cant wait till you get that thing all done and dialed in as it will be bad ass!!

yeah i have been talking to the neens and he thinks i need to add some defuel. problem was i didnt change my defuel spot to match with my higher shift points. i also need to pull a little fuel because i was draining the rail down to 21k. i feel like i will for sure brake in to the 7 this spring. i think we also need to watch the D.A. when we go to the track steve. because this could be playing games with which tables we are running off of

well i only go to the track about twice a year. i really dont drag race much. i do plan on going more this year though. i thnk i would have been in the sevens if the tranny was shifting good ( tunning issue i think). and i was draining the rail a little more than i wanted

You need to be going 85 mph to get in the 7's.:smart: Need just a little more power. You're almost there.

as long as you 60 ft better than 1.8 then yes 85 mph will get ya there . poor 60's will require more mph . running 12.7's last year i didnt get into the 7's . from looking @ slips i was 8.2 @ 85 on a 12.72 run with a 1.8 60 .... but thats high altitude

i should have all the power that i need. once it clicks the shifts off like it should it will help alot. and get the rail up just a little.
Its going to take more horsepower to go from 83mph up to 85mph through the traps, and you will need to be going at least 85mph to get into the 7's;)

pretty sure that i said the rail was dropping. if i get that up some around 23k or 24k then i will get more power. and my 60ft was 1.8. believe me with the amount of time that it was taking to make a shift i am leaving alot on the table as far as mph and e.t.

I'm glad you've got it all figured out. You should be in the 7's your very next trip to the track then.

well i guess i should let you tune it then since you seem to have it figured out. you know i could probably call rob up and get a tune from him that would get me in to the sevens but since i am running my own tunning with help from friends it might take a couple of trips. i think 8.2 on a tune that i made is pretty damb good. how fast have you ran on a tune that you made your self ?
