I replaced my stock LMM filter with a Donaldson about 4 years ago. I never had any problems at all. Now when I put the new Donaldson in, I am getting a MAF code and Reduced Power. I checked and checked but there's no air leaks, etc.
If I clear the code it comes right back. However, if I am driving down the road and clear the code it does not come back until I am stopped at idle again.
I cleaned the MAF; nothing.
I put the old filter back in; fixed.
I data logged both filters at idle with my v2:
old was 5.4lbs/hr@37khz with a max of 5.5
new was 5.7lbs/hr@37khz and a max of 5.93.
I'm inclined to just adjust my tune to ignore this, but I'd like some opinions before I do something stupid, lol.
