installed new black 5in stack sat. morning

did you get it already black? i dont want to spend another couple hundred on stacks just to change the color:). not sure of a nice high heat that would last in the elements, and would stick to an etch primer over the chrome.

so far my high temp engine paint has held up fine , even through the winter .

thanks........i just painted it will high temp engine paint and from reading around seems like it will hold up just fine so we will see, cheap too! cost me 20 bucks to put in by just scraping up parts around garage

i had mine powder coated black and its holding up nice.. only 40$

I've been seriously thinking about getting a single stack as well, definetaly black.

Where'd you get the stack?, I think i could come up with some flex pipe and parts needed for a single setup, just need to get the stack...

So I got to ask the question, since it is a straight pipe, how do you keep the exhaust system from rusting? Use stainless steel? Reason I ask is I have to park my truck outside all the time so water will definitely get in the system.

my truck is parked outside all the time as well, it is just a aluminized system paint with high temp paint, but i do put a can on top of stack and a small hole drilled in lowest point of system
