New 2022 3500HD High Idle Switch Option

Hi All,

I hope I am putting this in the correct forum. I did find some posts on this subject but they were very old. I just picked up my new 2022 3500HD Denali and I got the impession from my saleman that activating the Optional High Idle Switch was different that the older model cruise control button activation. Salesman menbtioned something about setting it in the info center.

Anyone know how to use this additional option from the factory? Is it different or same for the previous years?

You should be able to activate or turn on the elevated idle that automatically kicks in when truck is under certain cold temps. The high idle would be an option normally used for like a PTO option or the like and would need to be programmed I believe.

Figured it out

1. Start the truck
2. Set parking break
3. Dont touch break or accelerator pedal
4. Turn on cruise control
5. Push cruise "Set" button

Thats it.

For pto or high idle? Those are 2 diffrent options.

Just high idle to warm up truck faster.
