I have 2001 Chevy 2500HD Silverado. It needs a transmission rebuild, head gaskets, and injectors. It also has an intermittent factory security problem. I need a mechanic capable of doing this, preferably Duramax specialist. I am located in MD but willing to travel a decent distance for the right mechanic. I called Maryland Performace Diesel multiple times, but they refuse to call me back with estimates. Who would you recommend?

I understand it will be a huge chunk of change. That's not the issue. I'm looking for someone reliable who won't screw my truck up. The truck roughly 220,000 miles on it. I understand they will need to diagnose their own but there's absolutely no reason they can't give me a rough estimate over the phone. I'm hoping to have this done while I'm down post op.
Where you at? Id tell you to come to our shop but our labour rate is over $100 a hr. I have a friend who owns a small shop right outside of Hagerstown who can do everything you mentioned who is a very experienced duramax/allison tech and his rates are very reasonable!
You are quite welcome. He will treat you right and do a good job. He has done quite a few duramax engine builds and allison rebuilds and is a diagnostic/electrical genius.
