Need yalls opinion asap

Working at a garage and they just threw an LLY in the scrap pile. Looks pretty rough but it's complete minus the cp3 and turbo and lines. Too end was done 10k before the kid blew the bottom end. They said $100. Should I do it? There's an LLY swap if I want it or if the block is salvageable there's my bottom end to build

Honestly not sure. He said it was trashed tho. But I figured for the price I could part it out at least

Hopefully the cylinder walls aren't too trashes and can be repaired. Or maybe the crank snapped. $100 is a steal. If it turns out to be a dud then you make a coffee table..

Shoot...just pull the entire top half of the engine, have the heads and injectors gone thru, find a turbo, wiring and the other miscellaneous stuff. Instant LLY swap candidate for cheap.

A spun rod bearing, you will be good, just need a crank if it won't polish out. If it's a main bearing, good chance the block is a paper weight

Thanks guys. I'm not too worried about the bottom end. From the looks of it, the outside of the block may be more toast than the inside :roflmao: kinda thinking about an LLY head swap tho
