Before I purchased my TTS setup I was considering the FASS system. From the few years I've been hanging around these forums I've never heard anybody complain about the FASS system (except maybe the noise), but for most driving a diesel seems to drown out the pump noise. Kennedy Pumps and TTS are nice setups (centrifigul) which are flow through just in case there is a problem. For my setup (Mostly Stock) the centrifigul pumps deliver plenty of fuel.

I have a old filterless fass that I'm running. I would stay away from ppe, or any essex pumps for that matter unless you only plan on using it for 3 months.

PPE did have a bad run of pumps , but it is a completely different design and are showing no problems now. Although I know it will take a
While to regain peoples trust .

There are a ton of really good diesel pickup specific pump systems out there, almost all of which have been mentioned. I personally run an Air Dog II DF-165 on my truck; I also installed one on my dad's truck. They have been flawless on both so far.

If you want to make your own, I just picked up a really nice pump to use on our van project. The price was really good, it has a built in regulator that appears to be capable of being boost referenced, and the flow numbers look to be more than adequate. I called the company, and they said there would be no fuel compatibility problems with the seals. However, they did say the diesel would clog it up . I decided to take my chances on it anyway, but I did buy a 63 micron pre-filter to catch any particles that might cause problems with the pump.

Here's the pump: http://www.quickfueltechnology.com/175-gph-bypass-billet-electric-fuel-pump.html

Here's the filter (I used P/N 40218): http://www.allstarperformance.com/product.htm?prod=320&part=ALL40218

edit: I forgot to say, the pump is LOUD! It makes every FASS or Air Dog pump I've ever heard sound quiet.

I'm at 35k on myAD II,Works great. Friends hay hauler has about 50k on his and no problems. Oddly, installed them at the same time- mine is easy to hear over my truck and his you can barely hear with the truck off, but they both pump fine...
