ppe or diablo if you just want a tuner with pre set tunes with god mpg and towing power

or efilive from a vendor that can supply you with tunes and you can get your feet wet tuning yourself

EDIT- not trying to push you this way but if you do decide on the diablo i have one i use to use if you want to buy it for 200 shipped if i can find it

After reading your post I feel you would be best off with a PPE tunner. Once you get hooked on the power you will trade off to EFIlive. Do some checking on the tunnners with the search function but I am sure a few people will stop in. Dont go big on tunning without a built trans.

I ran several different tuners on my Dad's '02 before finding out about EFI Live...PPE, Predator and Hypertech all worked well and upped the MPG, but none of them had the mileage that I was able to get with EFI Live...If you can find a used programmer, that may be the way to go...It's a big initial expense, but EFI Live has a lot of options as far as tuning and scanning...It can handle your LB7 and many other vehicles...
