I had 2 codes today throw on my 02 GMC 2500HD, 087 and 700. I understand that they are a low pressure at the fuel rail and a transmission control system. I have been told that changing out the Transmission control selenoid will solve my problem? True or not?

I have a po 087 and 700 which I know what they are. I am looking to see if the replacing of the tranmission selinod will solve my issues, I just drove back from the campground and had no power and hard shifting the whole way home.

You need to find out what code is in the TCM.

Sounds like a plugged fuel filter. Fuel system problems can throw a P0700 with no other trans code to follow. This can fool you. Fix the fuel problem first.
