Sounds like you just uploaded the new os for the dsp5 switch. You need to fill all 4 switch positions with tunes. Someone correct me if I'm wrong

mantua, oh
no u r correct the other four positions will be restored to a base position u just need to change the required tables to b within tolerance. not a big deal at all this is normal

why would the tables be ok on a non dsp os though? sorry Im a rookie

You're not using any of the tables that are out of calibration when it's a non-dsp calibration. Once you change it to a dsp os is when you need to populate the tables for it to be a functional dsp tune. Make sense?

There is LIMITED space in the ECM for switchable tuning, to work with those constraints we've limited the number of tables that can be changed in the DSP environment.

The base file of a DSP tune contains all parameters of the ECM. Positions 2, 3, 4, and 5 contain a limited amount of tables that can be changed.

Once you flash the DSP file into your ECM, you need to populate positions 2-5 so they are not the same as your base tune.

Cheers
Cindy

so I need to flash my ecm with this new dsp5 and then go back and put in my 2-5 tunes? I tried putting in the other tunes in 2-5 and its still showing a ton of out of range stuff

After converting to dsp5 run the lb7 script. That's prolly the issue your having.

nailed it! thanks for the help guys! also does anyone happen to make a beginners guide to efi tuning? Some of this stuff I get and others I am totally lost and with this kind of stuff I dont want to experiment too much!

well thanks for the help guys  but my dads lb7 is now showing these codes, any suggestions?
"glow plug feedback circuit A" epa
barometric pressure (baro) sensor performance EPA
barometric pressure (baro) sensor performance EPA pending
"glow plug feedback circuit A" H
barometric pressure (baro) sensor performance MHC
"left front wheel speed sensor circuit" M
"right front wheel speed sensor circuit" M

not sure if I missed something in the tune with these or what.. thanks AGAIN

ok guys sorry for all the noob questions but what would make it so my #2 tune is actually #3 on the switch and #3 is where #4 and so on and the #5 isnt a dead pedal anymore? its like #2 on jumped a place forward
