Help: Need some advice on a compact utility tractor

Looked at a BX25 Kubota tractor yesterday.

Comes with the Front Bucket, Rear Backhoe, Mid Mount Mower Deck ( 54" or 60" ), etc.

Kubota has a deal now 72 payments at 0%.

I can go to New Hampshire and buy it for No Sales Tax as well and maybe get a better deal as the local Kubota Dealer doesn't want to bargain and he has a lot of them sitting on the lot.

At 0% it's $230/mo for 72 months !!!!

What I need to know is if it's worth it to get the BX25 with the rear hoe or just the BX23 that only has the deck and front bucket ???

Difference is $5k just for the rear implement.

Anyone ever dig with one of these ??? Is it worth getting the hoe ??? has a 6 or 6.5 foot reach.

Kabota makes very good equipment, I would get the back hoe attachment. I think you will use it more than you think. I had a friend that had one and he loved the backhoe attachment.

Tony the machine is to light for a hoe it would do the job like plant a shrub or a small tree save your 5 grand. I have a 2210 JD with a 4 way plow, loader and 54 inch deck and I love it.

I rented one of the bx25s when the girl and I moved into this farm. it worked well for what I used it for. needed to remove manure from previous owner. dug it out of the run in shed with some effort ( almost seemed petrified lol ). it is a bit light for that kind of digging with the back hoe but it worked. the bonus was I ran it for 13 hours on only 2 gallons of fuel :thumb:

Your on the right track. My dad and I looked at all units Kubota, New halland, JD, Case, Massey, etc and the Kubota is by far the best out of all of them. Your not going to dig a pond obviously with the little bugar but it would be could for light duty work.

I had an experiance with a New Holland TC33D Nice tractor, good ergonomics, factory hydraulics a little weak, but nothing that can't be adjusted!! Had pressure 'turned up' and it was awsome. We have a Massey at work, no likey!

A friend of mine had a BX23 and ended up trading it in for the BX25 as the 23 wasn't heavy enough to do much of anything with the backhoe. He's an electrician and needed it for digging trenches and such, but the smaller 23 just couldn't cut it down here in Florida with loose topsoil and no rocks. I would say step up to the larger BX25 if you ever plan on using the backhoe.
