I think as long as it's a 7.3 powerstroke that everything will work. Just don't get one with the pmr rods. And you might have to do some sensor swapping if it's from a newer one. And the reason I say this is I had a buddy with a '03 that he blew up. His replacement motor came from a '97 I believe.

hmm the sticker on the door is early month 98? but it is a nbs so prob a 99 then?

If it is a eraly 99 then he can use the 99-03 7.3L I believe, but he will need to re-use his injectors as early 99's used a different injector than any of the others. Also the turbo on the early 7.3L is unique to it as well, but I believe the later turbo will work just as well for stock HP levels(7.3 turbos don't take well to more than a 60-80HP tune).

This is a text a powerstroke buddy just sent me. Notice I said text as in text message with bad grammar and punctuation.

94-early 03s will all bolt in jus have to swap accesories an motor mounts if comes from obs, if get a late 99up id try get it complete with turbo. Some late 01s had pmrs like the 02 03s have. Easy to check for pmrs they have bolts on the rods where forged have studs.

Edit: He just sent this one also.

If put older one they will need to upgrade injectors, if go newer they need to get pcm from newer truck
