MY TRUCK SOUNDS LIKE A TWO STROKE TRACTOR:(

Ok i am driving down the road and the check engine lights comes on and bam my truck is running of half the cylinders.

codes are:
P202
P203
P205
P208
P2149

i belive that the first 4 are misfire codes but i dont know what the 5th one is?

i am leaning towards injector harness (never heardof that on an LB7) or FICM, i need some direction and some ways to test the system.

Thanks
Travis

Yeah, sounds electric.

Unplug the bale connectors and look at all the pins to see if any are bent.

I would need to look up 2149, but I think that says a whole bank is not responding.

i found some articles on TDP with the exact codes as mine and the problem is the harness rubs through at the FICM. if this is the case can i just solder the wires back together or can this change the resistance in the wires causing other issues?

get this... I had the same issue, only on 2 cylinders (if it is FICM misfire) the dealer removed the plugs, inspected all the wires into the plugs found 2-3 (didn't say exactly) that were overbent and worn through the insulation. He put electrical tape around them, straightened them up a little, installed zip ties and called it good!

they charged me $100 then 3 weeks later sent me the money back. Have had no issue since.

Hope that helps

I think soldering would be ok, but most likely it's just shorted out and not broken completely so you could get by with just some tape to replace the missing insulation on the wires.
It's worth a shot and cheaper than replacing the harness!! :D
