So I'm in the middle of taking out my stock downpipe and I've taken off the heat Shields and removed the clamp on the bottom and I got the nut off the clamp on the top by the turbo but for the life of me I can't get the clamp to even budge. The downpipe still feels like something's holding it back and I've moved the trans dip stick out of the way too. Am I missing something or am I just dumb? Any help with explaining how to get this clamp off would be awesome. Thanks.

Tap on the bolt...it should pop the clamp free...
I've never had an issue with the clamp before, but the downpipe flange can be a bitch...it usually doesn't take force to remove it, but rather finesse. Gently wiggle and pull it straight out

My lmm clamp froze up. I didn't have trouble with my lly. I reused the clamp but chased the threads and put some anti seize on it

Took me a 3rd try, had to remove the GPCM, couldn't get to clamp as it was rotated to the bottom of the turbo with the nut facing the GPCM. The heat shield I cut in half with a air powered body saw so I could re-install.

I use an air hammer with a very dull chisel bit or the rod that is used to take fan clutches off. Very light hammering on the turbo housing and it frees it up in about 2 seconds.
