I have a 05 silverado LLY anyways I had to solder the blue light bulbs in, watched ton of youtube videos. I never solder before so it pretty interesting. Well I got what I wanted but with a catch. It somehow reset everything especially my odometer miles to 0. Only thing it tracks is my oil/fuel filters percent. It was at 126k miles as I remember. Chevy dealership gave me a quote of replacing it and reprogramming it for $600(had to be fixed anyways)
Thing was I never disconnected the battery idk if that has anything to do with it? but if I did that I had no way testing if the bulbs lit up or not. Now it froze it keeping it at 16 miles, and my shifter light dosen't work either but that was before I messed with it. My needles are slightly off, because I had to take them off to get to the circuit. Why in the hell did GM couldn't do a simple screw in light bulb instead of soldering??!?
