Please help me out here guys I'm trying to figure out what to do with my wife's LB7 I've recently acquired a cp4 pump at work and yes it would need to be rebuilt but I'm really wanting an LBZ cp3 to put on her truck what should I do with the cp4 should I use it as a core and purchase a new LBZ cp3 out right or what I'm open to suggestions

Well, what's the CP4 worth to you, you said it's "at your work" so does that mean you have free rights to it? Do you have a truck that runs a CP4?

Seeing how DHD sells a kit to change the CP4 out to a CP3 I'm pretty sure it's safe to say in the performance world no one really wants the CP4, so I'd say if you can use the CP4 as an exchange core for a CP3, DO IT!!!

Cp4 is timed, is LML specific and can not be rebuilt. The cp3 on the lb7 is fine to run, if you want a little more out of it, swap the regulator out for one from an LBZ. That raises the rail pressure up to 26,000...
