I have a 2003 Chevy 3500 6.6 Duramax. I have the Edge with Attitude.
I replaced the fuel filter housing not too long ago along with the 2 hoses that run to the housing. I used hose that I bought at Autozone. I have the FRP PID up on the edge, and when I get down on it while pulling a trailer, the gauge drops down all the way to about 8000 PSI. I put a friends scanner on it while I was pulling a load. The desired FRP was 159 ( MA ) and the actual was around 70 to 90 ( MA ). I read somewhere that the hose should have been a diesel grade or USCG approved Diesel hose. Could this be my problem or is my CP3 going bad. I just replaced the injectors, head gaskets, and fuel pressure regulator. I also read where it could be the rubber hose coming from the tank that runs by the transmission..
Where should I start??
Is there a way to check the CP3 without having to purchase a new one??
