Alright so here is what I would like to do. I have a 2002 DMax and a 1998 LS1 and I would like to scan/tune both. I have been recommended to get AutoCal with some tunes for my stock truck with head studs and DSP5. Now is it as simple as to purchase another licence and being able to plug in the AutoCal to my LS1 powered car and scan/tune while using a laptop? Can you actually scan/tune with a laptop using AutoCal. I am just very very confused! I have read the FAQ here on the forum and all the pages on EFILive.com but it still makes no sense. Oh and I am a computer programmer by trade so you would think that this is easy for me to comprehend.

So basically what I would like to do with my truck is to add custom tunes and being able to switch using the DSP5. But I would also like to be able to view/log data using my laptop within the truck. As for the Camaro I would like to simply view/log data using my laptop in car and load tunes which I am assuming can be purchased at a later time. I hope this helps clarify things... If someone can shed a little light on the subject it would be very nice.

Do yourself a favor and buy a V2 from whoever you want to tune it, have them include a dsp5 tune

Just out of curiosity when you speak V2 do you guys mean the FlashScan V2 handheld and EFI Live laptop install? I suppose you can plug your laptop straight to the handheld which is connected to the truck?
