So I have an edge evolution tuner on my all stock lbz with an exhaust and intake. I've been thinkin of ordering an already tuned ecm from duramaxtuner.com. Do you think I would notice much of a power difference or mileage gain?

Depends on to what level you have them tune the ECM to....single tuned ECM???

Personally, I like having the option of choosing my power level, so I would advocate getting set up with an auto-cal and DSP-5 switch, just remember to let the trans "learn" when switching to higher powered tunes for a bit before you lay into it:thumb:

And YES I believe with stock trans efi live tuning you will produce more horse power in the 4 and 5 tune then an edge programmer provides, iirc the edge produces 90-110 hp and efi live can net you 130-150 on max effort tuning, but I would also suggest installing a TransG Jr to "help" harness the power better.

Are we talking trans safe tunes? Like 100hp stuff or "max effort" 500+rwhp tunes. Efi live can do both. Definitely as coco suggested, get a trans go jr.
As for hp gains. If you have a 100 hp tune from edge and a 100 hp tune from efi live. Won't notice much. Where the tune fuels, where the power comes in can be different tho.
As always I suggest efi live over any canned tuner.

Agreed, efi live has no equal, and even an auto-cal has limitless potential cuz it's capable of "updating" so even though you can't get tuning from any v2 loaded into the auto-cal, the original v2 that loaded the auto-cal can always update the tune file, even through an e-mail:)

For the LBZ DuramaxTuner claims +60 on the #2 heavy tow tune and +130 for the #5 race tune

And that's for their "stock" trans tuning, for their auto-cal or "s.p.a.d.e" they call it "jack" tuning

They claim +230 for their built trans tuning race tune they call it "king" tuning

I've used DuramaxTuner for quite a while, I've tried others and gone back to the s.p.a.d.e tuner each time, I'm getting Marks (Danville) tuning soon and have high hopes for this new tuning as I believe Mark has the best "LBZ" tuning out there, but I also believe Nick and Bob there at DT produce top notch tuning and have great customer service, as far as out of the box tuning I'd say they are better than most.

Lol, roll tide:angel:

Thanks for the input guys. And yes definitely trans safe tunes.

Do I really need an auto cal if I'm not going to be updating my tunes often?

I live about an hour away from Idaho rob, but I'm shopping around for now.
