Can the memory be upgraded? 512 is not much.

Can get them pretty cheap on Ebay too. I've been looking for something like this for our field PMs.

That laptop is what Nabor's Drilling gives all it's field guys. They can take a drop of about 8' and be driven over by a p/u and still be good to go. (Yes me and a buddy tested it:D)

I use the toughbooks alot for the military.....they are nice for simple stuff. So tuning logging and the occasional low res vid. They are perfect for.

And yes they are expensive little guys.

Here are the specs for it.....the add says DDR but the numeclature of the model shows DDR2.

Here are the specs of what it can handle as DDR2. Either way a pretty good deal.
