I got an 02 Yukon to drive and keep miles off the LBZ and I'm having an issue with it. After sitting overnight, it doesn't want to start. By that, I mean that I turn the key to start and it doesn't do anything, no click from starter solenoid, no rolling over, nothing. After trying to start it several times, it will crank and runs fine after that. Any ideas on what to look at or where to start?

Vehicle:
2002 Yukon 4x4
5.3 & 4L60E

My Mom's 05 was doing that too. We didn't want to mess with it so we eventually had it towed to the stealer, they replaced the starter and it was good after that. Not saying that's what your issue is, but ours was the starter.

Thanks, that's what I was leaning towards. Just wasn't sure if. It was the starter, starter solenoid, or the ignition switch that was the issue.

I'd start with checking battery cable connection. Then have an auto parts shop check the starter if that's not the problem. They'll usually check it for free.

I replaced the battery yesterday and the battery cables looked good, but I'll recheck them just to be sure. I'm gonna drive the LBZ the rest of the week and replace the starter this weekend when I get back from work.
