Dammit!!!! I am still 10 MPH off on this thing......No ABS light, so thats cool. I went to Speedo-Parameters-Put in my width, profile, rim dia. Hit the recalculate calibrations. And finally, Save calculated values.

Still does not work!!!

What am I missing????

10 MPH at what speed?

If you are an LBZ/LMM you are going to play with Tire Revs Per Mile - H0136
If you are LB7/LLY you will play with Pulses Per Mile - H0101

Either way, here's an example:

Say I was going 70 mph per a GPS but my speedo said 77 mph.

Speedo MPH / Actual MPH = Correction %

77 / 70 = 1.1 or 110%

I take that 1.1 and I multiply it by my TireRev/Mile or Ticks/Mile:

100,000 Pulses Per Mile (H0101) * 1.1 = 110,000 pulses per mile

or

600 Tire Revolutions per mile (H0136) * 1.1 = 660 revs per mile.

Type in that number.

Basically if your speedo is higher, you increase the number.
If your speedo is low, you decrease the number.

05 LLY Kodiak. Went with 275/80-22.5 tires 39.82 inches tall. I thought that if you input the tire data...that it would automatically calculate the "pulses per mile". I can find out the tire data online and input the rev per mile too. I guess I just expected to be able to do something simple....like put in my tire size and hit GO!....LOL Thats how I would make a tuner...idiot proof.

Keep this in mind.

This rule works with all tuning systems and vehicles, not just EFILive. Advertised tire dias aren't always right.

PS - For correcting based on tire size (assuming the speedo was right to begin with):

Old Tire Dia / New Tire Dia = Correction.

H0101 (H0136) * Correction = new tire setting.

once your in the speedo tuning box, there's a tab that says fine tuning, then a box for displayed speed and actual speed, I set mine based on what the gps says and it has me pretty much dead on now. I used 70mph as the base. This is for the LLY's at least.

Thanks for the info guys.....I had some company come over as I was loading the corrected parameters. Didn't have time to try it out yet. I'll give it a shot tomorrow.
