So ive been hunting down a whine, it is most noticable between 1500-1800rpm under load but very faint when in neutral, it is more pronounce when the motor is cold, but when things get hoter afer a heavy foot it it ganins an aditional groan that sounds like an older ford powersterring pump, after changing the tensioner and idler pulleys and hitting everything that turns with a stethscope i gave up, so today i took it to the steeler to let the pros have a look they came back with the tubo being the culprit, with the caviat being its not the stock turbo and you have a bunch of mods so we cant be sure.
So if anyone whos running or has ran a gt4094avnt and had similar issue care to share your thoughts?
My other thought was i spun the watter pump and the impeller was walking off the shaft, but i couldnt hear anything out of the ordinary when i hit it with the steathascope
