figured id start a build thread now. trucks a 04 RCLB, 4x4. itll be on AIR on all 4 corners. i wanted an air bag for towing capacity and i need a set of trac bars. i figured why not incorporate both into 1 and take it a step further.

Those Slam bags are monsters I use to run them on my half ton, and with a 1/2" they popped the truck up pretty quick. Just make sure they don't rub, and check them annually. Illinois isn't to friendly on exposed rubber. I pulled my front bags to do something else and realized the back of the back I couldn't see had dry rotted.

glad to see there is some interest! im in the process of drawing / designing a front link mount . i can do it one way but im thinkin maybe make it so it can be a bolt on / minimal welding kit incase anyone else would be interested in a setup. for the price of trac bars + air bag helper kits i think for a few hundred more you could have a true 4 link setup with a MONSTER bag that will hold anything we could throw at it. but like i said im not sure if there is a market for this? thoughts?

also was going to run heims / rod ends but now i think im going to swap over to bushings, theyre more pocket friendly and from what ive read / people talked to more street friendly.

also it needs to get WARM OUT!

thanks for the suggestion. im about 80% they wont be close to touching anything on the rear. front will get SS 7"s instead of the dominator 2600s that come in the kit.

Pulled from his thread:D

I've been making some changes to the truck and its all finished up so I thought y'all might like to see. Ive had a few questions about some of the fab-work too so this should answer some. The truck has been do for some upgrades, so i decided to do everything I wanted to do before I moved for Uni.

So a list of everything, the plan was to make the truck ride better and tow good, while as low as reasonably possible, and basically get it ready for turbo/injectors.

-Coilovers, Ridetech direct bolt in kit that I'm testing for DBRods. 1100lbs springs, single adjustable
-Mcgaughys hangers and shackles for a ~3/5-4/6 drop
-Tow/helper bags
-Traction Bars
-ProFab EGR delete w/ 3" high flow Y bridge
-ProFab Manifolds, Up-Pipes, 3" Downpipe
-Full 5" straight pipe
-Tuning from IdahoRob, finally ordered my own V2
-SS Seats swapped in from my SS

Thats about it, Jon at DBRods did all of the fab work. Im waiting for a few more parts but should be finished up tomorrow night if everything comes in. If theres any questions please feel free to ask.

Big thanks to DBRods, Rick at ProFab, and IdahoRob at ATP!

As it sits now, almost finished

Coilovers!

Some ProFab goodies

Traction Bars, bag mounts and exhaust.

1" hiems

an idea of how much drop

Brackets cut

Bag mounting holes, and hole for the air fitting

New bags, and shocks

Couldn't have 4" exhaust

Last but not least the SS Silvy Seats, heaters work and all
