So I ordered a Transgo jr a couple of weeks ago and was determined to get it installed on my lbz before I put my PPE programmer on for the little extra protection that it offers..
Anyways I was leaving to go Archery hunting down south last Friday and wanted the benefit of the extra HP and gas mileage so I decided I would install my Trango jr on Thursday, the day before I was leaving. I knew it was not my best idea giving what was involved and my press for time...
So everything was going well until we installed the second trim valve, I saw and felt a little nick but we decided to try it and it and it locked into place, didn't want to come out and didn't even want to move.. Thought I was screwed for a few minutes and it took us ablout a half hour tying to get the trim valve out to find out that it had a nice little nick in the trim valve.
I called a close trans shop to see if I could run it over there to have them machine it down a little but they couldn't and told me to get some 800 grit sand paper and sand it down until you couldn't feel it and it would freely move in the bore. We did and things turned out great.
The Moral of the story is if you are about to put one of those kits in your truck be sure to give it a good look and feel before you install and make sure everything is smooth as can be to prevent a Pain in the a$$ install like I had to deal with...
Just thought I would share my experience for the other DIY'ers
