This is what happenes when you bored in about 4 hrs one night.
The car use to run a 400 sbc 30 over 2 bolt main with Gm 292 turbo heads and a baby 630 roller cam.Holley 650 with alittle work down to it and a big shot kit on the car. Stock rear leaf springs stock gas shocks stock front springs front shocks were 90/10's. rans a 2,800 stall 350 turbo Donnelly Transmissions out of Nottingham Pa friend of Terrys from Precision Industries. Ran full exhaust that you see on the floor in pic 3" flowmaster 2 chamber over the rear ran M&H Dot's care weighed in at 3,660 lbs. Car ran 12.15 to 12.20 @ 112 on the motor now on the bottle she ran 10.67 @ 133.80 and ran the 1/8 in 6.50 @ 118 60' were crapy 1.8 area best was ever a 1.6 and that was on another motor set up and the car was lighter. Swaped heads on this same motor that ran the times above most have not heard of them some of the older guys have.Pontiac Motorsports casting #867 there a raised runner head and flowed really well. with the heads and a new out of the box Gold Claw 775 the car ran on fuel no bottle 11.70 at 118 in the 1/4. Was just getting ready to throw the bottle back to it since I use to be a bottle junkie in the day as a street racer and I shot a rod out under the car at the track and busted the whole side of the motor out and cracked the block from the crank main to the cam main up to under the head around to the other side of the motor mount. Was kinda funny when we pulled the motor we pulled the whole driver side corner of the motor mount and all off with one yank. But the stock 400 sbc were known for this to happen thats why you always used a 2 bolt main they lasted alot longer then the 4 bolts.

Here is the new motor but I have since sold the blower and the sheet metal intake setup.New motor is a Bow-Tie 400 stb sbc. Brodix Weld Tech ported heads with Jesel shaft setup 1.71 ratio The Lunati cam is in the .730/.750 are based off a 1.5 rocker. The rods are Lunati Pro Rods and a Pro crank that weighs in at 37lbs.The pistons are J&E 7.5 to 1 's the mains and heads are studded motor is built for big boost. The trans is a J&W Ultra Glide witha 5500 stall. Now the hard part we started to do a kinda mini tub on the car and add frame rails but I ened up not liking them they set thru the floor and your almost better off just doing a full back half and at the speeds the car could run it would be safer to do the back half along with a now thinking a tubed front witha nice rack. On the pics with the motor in the car they were dated 04 it was off it was 05 I got the diesel in 06 so let you know how much these trucks throw you off your game plan lol. I sold the blower and DFI and intake to pay for my motor build for the truck. Now to replace that same setup I sold then would cost around 12k the motor alone is around 15k then you still have the darn J&W ultra Glide lol there not cheap I have around 8k in the trans the bell and converter. Now to replace what I sold i'm thinking of mybe brodix intake with a 90* elbo and a 100mm throttle body and around 100lb injectors and a F3R from Procharger or a single 106mm turbo. Its that or I was going to take and tear the motor down and ditch the blower pistons and stick in a set of 13.5 to 1 J&E Nitrous pistons and throw 2 big stages to it. Then there is always the other option sell the gasser and swap in a Dmax and see if I can fit a nice big set of twin under that 8" cowl hood. along with some fat slicks.

Damn!! That thing is going to haul ass :D

That blower in the pic Novi 2000 set at 16 psi and with a small .530 lift cam made 880 crank hp on pump gas. They had the wrong cam and to small fuel line on the setup when they were playing with it. I got laughed at when I said I only wanted the stall at 3,000 for the motor after telling them what was inside it. They said it is built to come out at 5,000 to 5,500 and go thru the traps at 7,000+ lol So it should run in the low 8's are @ 150 other said if the car hooks it will run in the 7's if I go with the 106mm turbo and they said I have a better chanc eof hooking with the big single with some of the lag out of the hole.

LBZ swap

When I was 16, me n my buddy borrowed his dads '78 trans am with a much older 455 in it. Thing had work done but a rod broke at the wrist pin and when that throw went up, the broke rod went through the valley and cut the cam in half. Nuts.

Can't lose with a procharger or big single. It'll be cheaper faster and lighter than a diesel swap

I vote turbo

I tuned an F1r (12 psi) lt1 Camaro on E85 that went 9.7 @ 144 at 4800ft elevation (full weight plus cage etc.). Real clean ride... he has had a lot of issues with belts, brackets etc. Went to a cog setup when he switched to an F1r, and that eventually broke the end of his forged Scat crank off  Seems like there are so many headaches with the drive setups for these big blowers, and the big ones are so hard on everything.

I dont have to worry about the nose of the crank its has a nose like a BBC for that reason. also double keyed and they sale a support kits for the ends now that help. But the Big single seems like the best bang for he buckon my end with being a turbo dealer.

At your girlfriends house
Henry I am deeply saddened you would post a video on here with such vulgar language. This goes against the very principles in life that a man should remain pure and to promote happiness. I would very much appreciate you caring more in the future about others needs/values. Thanks.

What the fck do I care? Im sure I was the last person youd expect to believe saying that shit anyways. :spit:

I vote 13.5:1 and lots of happy gas! Nothing like having a high HP N/A motor and nothing like a huge lift cam to please the ears. But maybe Im old school. Next choice would be twins on the SBC (I know thats not a choice but it is now). Lol.
