Well my poor D-max is in the shop . It has a bad head gasket, no internal leakage just external but they say that the gaskets are on back order. The tech told me there is a truck up there thats been waiting for a month and a 1/2. This sucks bad!!!:( P.S. any body have a programmer for a Huffy ten speed )

The said the wiil only use AC Delco gaskets. This is warranty work I think that might be part of the reason they are beating around the bush. I've had a long week and have to work the weekend but I'm gonna try to get some answers monday. P.S thanks for your sympathy and offers ( This really blows ):(

I get them for around 90 ea grade c from Gm, What your issue is that Gm is going to install grade a and you can ask for a spec order for a rush on the gaskets.I have a cough set of grade c's that I have to ship to a friend in canada that I know is mad  at me for being a slow ass.I ordered cooper washers for Jon aka fingers and there back ordered and will ship on april 30th, Also with all the plants shut down to save money parts will be getting harder to get. There only building what they need.

Call Guy at SoCal 661-775-5620. And let him know whats up. Hes great to work with and will get you going in the right direction. And I can assure you your gaskets will arrive unharmed, he ships the things in a refrigerator box.

Make sure you know what gaskets your truck needs though as I believe some do differe, so cal the dealer and find out. I believe guys are GM products, so your dealer should be able to work with you. If they dont tow your truck to a better more freindlier dealer.

I hate stupid retarted stubborn lazy annoying dealerships. I guess im just lucky to have a good one(somedays)

This is Horse sh*t

I'm still waiting on gaskets they said maybe on the 25th they might get the date for shipping. I'm so pissed off, has there been a lot of guys with this problem? I mean if there is a national shortage of duramax head gaskets ther should have been a F#%king recall !! My head gasket didnt blow we just found a little tiny trickle where it was starting to leak externally and was evaporating, I never even noticed any fluid loss and it never overheated. The mechanic that found it said he didnt think it was performance product related or my fault he said it looked like straight up part failure. Any way I love my truck but why is GM so screwed up the head gaskets dont come in the gasket kit, they're sold seperatley from each other the left side has a different part # than the right side ( Thats retarded ). I found out that they are grade B's and the right side # is 9804 5056, and the left side is 9804 5059. I have called a few dealerships and they say that they can get the left side but cant find the right , and my dealer wont order unless it is the pair . Can anyone help me or give some insight into this nightmare?:(
