Bought this cheap with blown headgaskets. Did the headgaskets last week with ARP studs, ProFab Y-bridge and boost tube, LB7 up pipe, EGR/Cooler gone, PCV reroute, and put the 35" Mudgrapplers on 20x12 Fuel Hostage rims on. And some PPE gauges, S&B Intake, 4" Exhaust, Boxcover, MagHytec diff cover.

Setting this truck up as my towtruck, installed B&W Turnover gooseneck yesterday along with some airbags. Just running EFI Live 20/20 tow tune, doesn't idle very smooth with it so i'll have to modify that a little bit. But don't wanna add much for power, it will already be a big pull for this truck. Trailer i'm picking up is a 38' triple 7000# axle enclosed gooseneck racetrailer.

Any other mods i should do before going down to Georgia to haul the trailer home? Need to get the A/C recharged and get some icepick tools together just in case its gonna act up along the way. Fuel filters, spare belt, idler pulleys are in the cab.
I'm gonna go thru North Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa, Missouri, Illinois, Tennessee, Georgia, Florida, i'm going all the way down to Miami just to say i've been there haha. Any shops along the route i should stop at and visit? Or any guys that wanna meet up for a quick coffee lol?

Here's a couple pics, i love the look of them wide rims

Oh ya it's got 422000 kms on it :D Looks and runs like a truck with 100k on it, it's in really good shape. I've always wanted a truck with a million kms on it, i wanna keep this thing forever and try to get it that far haha. Hopefully get a stage IV kit and build the tranny this summer as well, then we can run a little more power to pull the big trailer:happy2:

truck looks really good. :thumb:You get all the fluids changed? Trans seems to be the one average car owners forget. I bought a "well maintained" car once and the trans fluid was never changed, had to get the trans totally redone. You going to put airbags in the rear to haul your trailer?

edit, saw you got a diff cover so I imagine you did :)

Yes haha i did install airbags.

Trans and transfercase fluid has to be done yet but will be done before i go, i have a pumprub kit sitting here but that's for the racetruck, maybe i'll put one on this one too. I'm taking oilchange stuff with me, i'll do that along the way somewhere cuz it will be a 9000 kilometer trip. Differentials have new amsoil in them. New powersteering fluid and brake fluid already done.:thumb:

oops, :)
Yea I thought I would get luck and dodge the pump rub issue with no signs of it and 140k on my truck and just a couple weeks ago, bam leaking from the pump rubbing through. A little RTV black and no more leak haha, get me by till I get it fixed. So don't forget the rtv in case you spring a leak :)

Good looking truck. I must have missed it but when are you going on this long ass trip? One thing you may want to up grade to...Titan super huge fuel tank or 100 gallon transfer tank.:dontknow: Just an idea with that drive.
