Well my so called head gasket problem turned out to be a water pump problem. Bearing went out and beat around the pump housing, and wore the fins and housing down real nice. No noise, no leak. Guessing it just didn't get the flow i needed. I just never thought a water pump i bought on April 23rd of this year would go out on me so soon, i took the hardest option first. I did get in there and put new head gaskets and studs in though. Definately a plus right? :D I figured i'd share my expierience anyway.

Well - at least all wasn't waisted... you got new head gaskets and studs now!

That sucks about the water pump problem, I sure would think it'd last ALOT longer than that!

I worry about my water pump as well. Put it on last summer. It sounds like my truck has a supercharger on it. Thats exactly what happened to my original pump too.

I think the turbine came forward on it. And i read a thread where Pat mentioned that they do that. He put a tig weld on the end i believe. Sucks it has to happen for ya to really think about it. But after doing head gaskets, replacing that water pump is nothing. I used to dread it. Haha
